Alexandra Steele

Alexandra SteeleAlexandra Steele is a co-host of the nightly program on The Weather Channel, Weather Center, which airs Monday through Friday nights starting at 7 p.m. ET.

Previously, Steele had been the on-camera meteorologist for four years on Good Morning Washington at WJLA-TV, the ABC affiliate in Washington, D.C., where she was also seen on the evening newscast.

Prior to working at the ABC affiliate in Washington, D.C., Steele served for three years as an on-camera forecaster for WTNH-TV, the ABC affiliate in New Haven, CT.

Crystal Egger

Crystal EggerBefore joining The Weather Channel as on-camera meteorologist in September 2010, Crystal Egger served as the morning meteorologist at KDVR, Fox 31News in Denver, CO. While there, she covered the 2008 Windsor tornado and has been nominated for regional Emmys for her work on weather specials.  

Before joining KDVR, Egger was lead weather anchor for ABC affiliate KIFI-TV in Idaho Falls, ID, in 2005 and served as an anchor, producer and weather forecaster at Cable News 16 in San Diego, CA, in 2004. Prior to that, Egger held various off-air positions including a production assistant and news writer at News 9 KUSI and weather intern/producer at FOX 6 News, both located in San Diego.

Greg Forbes

Greg ForbesAs the severe weather expert for The Weather Channel, Dr. Greg Forbes deals with dangerous thunderstorm weather hazards such as tornadoes, damaging winds, hail, floods and lightning.
 
Dr. Forbes was born and raised near Latrobe, Pennsylvania, and developed an interest in the weather when his 7th grade class studied a module on meteorology. He attended The Pennsylvania State University, where he received a bachelor's degree in meteorology.

He received his master's and doctorate degrees at the University of Chicago, where he studied tornadoes and severe thunderstorms under Dr. T. Theodore Fujita - famous for his invention of the F-scale used to rate tornadoes and for his discovery of intense thunderstorm downdrafts called microbursts. His thesis research involved studies of the 1974 Superoutbreak, the worst outbreak of tornadoes in U.S. history.

Heather Tesch

Heather TeschHeather Tesch weekdays from 10 a.m. ET - 2 p.m. ET on The Weather Channel.

Tesch comes to The Weather Channel from WCCO-TV in Minneapolis, MN, where she worked as a meteorologist on the WCCO This Morning show. She brings with her an extensive background in broadcasting and has earned the American Meteorological Society's Seal of Approval.

Tesch began her career as a weathercaster in Portland, ME, at WPXT-TV in 1992 and moved to WGME-TV the following year. Later she worked at WGAL-TV in Lancaster, PA, before moving on to WCCO-TV in 1996.

Jen Carfagno

Jen CarfagnoJen Carfagno is an on-camera meteorologist and can be seen weekday mornings on The Weather Channel (TWC) during First Outlook from 4-6 a.m. ET. 

Jen earned her bachelor's degree in meteorology from Pennsylvania State University, and later joined The Weather Channel full time in 1997, after acceptance into the network's summer internship program. Jen first participated in the on-camera meteorologist apprentice program at TWC, earning time in front of the camera every weekend. In addition to her on-air assignments, Jen gained valuable weather knowledge and experience from several key positions in the Meteorology departments.

Jim Cantore

Jim CantoreJim Cantore is one of the most recognized faces in weather today. His passion for field reporting during extreme weather events is well known among TV viewers.

Whether it's in the middle of an ice storm, tornado activity or a category 5 hurricane, there is no place Cantore would rather be.  Known as the network's "Storm Tracker," Cantore reports tirelessly throughout the duration of the storms to provide live coverage on The Weather Channel and also is a frequent guest on NBC programs such as "Nightly News with Brian Williams,"  "The Today Show" and on MSNBC.

Kelly Cass

Kelly CassKelly Cass is an on-camera meteorologist at The Weather Channel®. She first appeared on air at The Weather Channel in January 2000.

Before joining The Weather Channel, she had been the morning weekday meteorologist at WRGB-TV, the CBS affiliate in Schenectady, NY, a position she held for seven years. While working at WRGB, she was awarded the New York State Broadcasting Award for "best storm coverage" during the blizzard of '93.

Among the special reports presented by Cass for The Weather Channel was a feature about being selected for a flight in an F-A 18 jet of the "Blue Angels" unit of the U. S. Navy.

Mike Bettes

Mike BettesMike Bettes joins Stephanie Abrams as co-host of Your Weather Today weekdays from 7:00-10:00 a.m. ET.

From 2000 to 2003, Bettes was chief meteorologist for WLOS-TV in Asheville, NC. Earlier, he spent four years as weekend meteorologist for WSYX/WTTE in Columbus, OH, and one year as weekend meteorologist for WKEF in Dayton, OH.

A native of Tallmadge, OH, Bettes earned a bachelor's degree in atmospheric science at Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. During his career, Bettes has covered nearly every type of weather imaginable. He has been through blizzards and floods; reported live from the coast during Hurricanes Bonnie, Floyd, Katrina and Isabel; and has also chased tornadoes across the plains. In 2001 Bettes won an Emmy for his series on storm chasing on WSYX-TV in Columbus.

Mike Seidel

Mike SeidelMike Seidel joined The Weather Channel in March 1992. He is most often associated with his live reports from major weather events.

As field reporter for The Weather Channel, Seidel stands ready to go out on assignments "at a moment's notice" to cover extreme weather from hurricanes to snowstorms. He has been the subject of several newspaper articles in the cities he has visited, all with the theme "If Seidel's in town, the weather is going to be terrible." That's true in most cases. However, Seidel does get some non-extreme assignments as well, such as covering NFL football weekly, the Super Bowl, the PGA Tour, U.S. Open Tennis, NASCAR, the Indianapolis 500 and several other major events.

Paul Goodloe

Paul GoodloePaul Goodloe joined The Weather Channel in 1999 after several years as on-camera weathercaster at KSDK-TV in St. Louis, KRIV-TV in Houston, and KSBY-TV in San Luis Obisbo, CA. After majoring in geography at the University of Texas at Austin, Goodloe earned his master's degree in climatology from the University of California at Berkeley.

"I can't believe I'm getting paid for something I enjoy so much!" That's how Paul Goodloe feels about being an on-camera meteorologist for The Weather Channel. Goodloe says he has been studying the weather and the environment since he was a child.
