The Weather Channel Companies (TWCC) has tapped Jennifer Dangar as the executive vice president of distribution, business development and marketing.
Dangar will add oversight for the company’s marketing strategy and enterprise wide marketing activities including research, consumer marketing and distribution marketing to her existing responsibilities. She will maintain her role managing distribution and business development and continue to report to Mike Kelly, president and CEO of TWCC.

It’s critical for our business development and marketing to be aligned, and this change allows that smart coordination.”
As executive vice president of distribution and business development for TWCC, Dangar provides strategic direction and leadership of TWCC's distribution and business development efforts with cable, satellite and telecommunications operators and distributed content partners. Dangar is responsible for seeking out new opportunities for growth and expanding relationships with distribution partners across all platforms.
With more than 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, Dangar has been responsible for virtually all areas of affiliate management, including deal negotiation, sales management, marketing, digital media, local ad sales and public affairs. Prior to coming to TWCC, she served as senior vice president of domestic distribution for Discovery Networks U.S., where Dangar and her team were responsible for distribution of all new networks within the Discovery portfolio, including new media distribution and Discovery's non-linear video products.
Dangar also worked with Turner Broadcasting for five years, where she served as vice president of national accounts and strategic marketing. Early in her career she held positions at C-SPAN and Viewer's Choice (now In Demand).
Dangar has been active in industry groups, including holding leadership roles with WICT, CAB and CTAM, where she currently sits on the national board. She has been recognized for her contributions to the industry, winning numerous WICT, CTAM Mark and CTPAA Beacon Awards. She is also active in the Atlanta community with organizations including Leadership Atlanta, The High Museum, Zoo Atlanta and the Atlanta Botanical Garden. Dangar is a graduate of Tulane University, where she earned her bachelor's degree in ancient history, and she lives in Atlanta with her family.
