Sky News has further bolstered its business news unit, with the addition of the former BBC financial correspondent, Dharshini David as its new business correspondent. The appointment quickly follows the news that the former Daily Telegraph city editor, Mark Kleinman joined Sky News as its business editor earlier this week.
Kleinman's appointment has already started to pay dividends, with Sky News exclusively breaking the news late last night that Britain's biggest coal mining group, UK Coal, was to unveil plans to raise about £100m from its shareholders.
Dharshini David spent eight years at the BBC prior to joining supermarket giant, Tesco last year in the post of head of broadcast. Prior to her broadcasting roles, Savid was an economist at HSBC.
