Sky News Budget Coverage Details

The big question facing Labour is whether to make sweeping cuts or not. With a series of three Prime Ministerial Debates set to take place between the Budget and the election, opposition leaders David Cameron and Nick Clegg will be certain to jump on any flaws in the Chancellor’s plans.

Sky NewsDermot Murnaghan will present a special six-hour programme on Wednesday 24 March from 11.00 to 17.00, offering expert opinion and analysis on the unfolding events. The coverage will also include Prime Minister’s Questions and the Budget statement. Sky News Political Editor Adam Boulton will report live from Westminster, while Jeff Randall will be stationed at Sky News’ new financial base in the City.

Kay Burley, meanwhile, will head to the Calder Valley in Yorkshire, a key election battleground, where she’ll be talking to voters, local businesses and candidates for the next election. Kay will assess how the Chancellor’s proposals are being received in this crucial constituency.

Sky News’ coverage concludes in the evening with a special edition of Jeff Randall Live at 19.00.
