Sky News Appoints Peter Lowe as Managing Editor

Sky News Appoints Peter Lowe as Managing EditorSky News has appointed Peter Lowe to the position of Managing Editor. Peter will be responsible for people and performance management as well as recruitment across Sky News.

He is also tasked with ensuring greater synergy across multiple platforms at the channel including TV, radio, online, mobile and iPad, endeavouring to create greater flexibility across the editorial team in the ever changing media environment. Peter will also expand on his role dealing with regulation and editorial standards. 

Peter joined Sky News in 1998 and was formerly Assistant Editor.  Previous to that he was Sky’s Executive Producer at Westminster through the 2001 and 2005 General Elections.        

Chris Birkett, Executive Editor and Deputy Head of Sky News, commented: ‘Peter is a key part of the senior team here at Sky News.
