RT Spanish has become the first Russian TV channel to be recognized at Latin America’s largest international awards for television marketing and design, the Promax / BDA Latin America Competition 2010.
RT Spanish was awarded six prizes at the recent ceremony in Buenos Aires.
RT Spanish weather forecast won the Promax/BDA gold award for nonstandard graphic design solutions. The jury board of Latin America’s leading TV marketing and design competition also commended RT Spanish imaging and promotion design. Besides the gold, RT Spanish collected two silver and three bronze awards at the ceremony.
Promax / BDA Latin America awards are annually awarded for outstanding TV marketing, advertising and design. RT’s competition at the awards comprises well-known media leaders – CNN, NBC Universal, Discovery Channel Latin America, HBO Latin America Group, FOX Latin American Channels.
RT Spanish was launched in December 2009 and broadcasts 24/7 from Moscow. The open signal is available to millions of viewers in Europe, North and South America. RT Spanish has been broadcasting in Washington since September 1, 2010, via MHZ Networks, and since September 17 it’s been available in New York on one of the major US networks - Warner Cable. The channel’s official website, actualidad.rt.com, is a fully-fledged multimedia news service, where visitors can watch RT Spanish live.
