RT Spanish is Now Available in New York

RT, the Russian news channel, launched its 24/7 Spanish broadcast to Time Warner Cable NYC Region customers.

Now hundreds of thousands of Spanish speaking viewers in the country’s biggest city and finance center will be able to access RT Spanish.

RT Spanish is available to over one million Time Warner Cable digital customers in Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, western Brooklyn, Mt. Vernon and Hudson Valley, N.Y. and Bergen County, N.J. on channel 855.  RT Spanish joins a host of other domestic and international news channels available on Time Warner Cable. RT in English is with Time Warner since August 2007.

RT Spanish was launched in December 2009 and broadcasts 24/7 from Moscow. The open signal is available to millions of viewers in Europe, North and South America. The channel’s official website, actualidad.rt.com, is a fully-fledged multimedia news service, where visitors can watch RT Spanish live. In 2010, RT Spanish was nominated for the prestigious British Broadcast Digital Awards 2010 in the Best Channel Launch category. In the US RT Spanish has already been broadcasting in Washington since September 1st through MHz Networks.
