Bill O'reilly of Fox News and Jon Stewart of Comedy Central's 'The Daily Show' are to appear on each other's shows in the coming weeks.
Jon Stewart will appear on The O'Reilly Factor to promote his new book, whilst Bill O'Reilly will appear on 'The Daily Show' most likely to do exactly the same thing with his latest offering 'Pinheads and Patriots'.
The New York Times' Brian Stelter writes;
Mr. Stewart, the comedian and media critic who attacks Fox News on a regular basis, will show up on that network’s “The O’Reilly Factor” on Sept. 22, The Los Angeles Times reported Wednesday.
The generally interview-shy Mr. Stewart is on a book tour for “Earth (The Book),” a new volume by “The Daily Show.”
Mr. O’Reilly, in turn, will appear on Mr. Stewart’s “The Daily Show” on Comedy Central on Sept. 27, a network spokeswoman confirmed.
The last time Mr. Stewart visited Mr. O’Reilly, in February, the comedian delivered one of the most sustained criticisms of Fox News ever heard on Fox News, calling the channel a “cyclonic perpetual emotion machine” that has “taken reasonable concerns about this president and this economy and turned it into a full-fledged panic about the next coming of Chairman Mao.”
