The Fox News Channel will not be affected by any television blackouts as a result of the on-going talks between News Corp and Time Warner Cable over its retransmission rates for its main broadcast networks.
An extension to last night's midnight deadline for a deal between Fox and Time Warner Cable was agreed this morning, and talks continue surrounding Fox's demands for a $1 per subscriber monthly fee for its stations to be carried by Time Warner Cable, the second largest in the US.
The potential fall out of the deal could leave viewers of tonights Sugar Bowl football match blacked out should the new deadline for a deal not be extended again. Along with Fox's local broadcast stations, a whole raft of other channels currently stand at risk of being pulled, including;
FX, Speed, Fuel TV, Fox Movie Channel, Fox Reality Channel, Fox Soccer Channel, Fox Sports en Espanol.
Also at risk are the Fox Sports Net channels including; FS Arizona, Florida, Houston, Midwest, Southwest, West, Prime Ticket, SportsSouth and Sun Sports.
