Ever noticed that Bill Hemmer always wears a purple tie on Friday's whilst presenting America's Newsroom? We haven't either, but Cincinnati.com's John Kiesewetter explains all we need, or not need, to know;
Bill Hemmer is showing his true color on Fox News. It’s purple. Every Friday he wears purple for his beloved Elder High School Panthers, part of the school’s “Purple Friday” tradition. Recently the ‘83 Elder grad received a letter from Elder Principal Tom Otten thanking him for showing his colors to the world’s TV audience on “America’s Newsroom” (9-11 a.m weekdays), which he co-hosts with Megyn Kelly.
With Elder (9-2) playing Anderson High School (12-0) 7 p.m. Saturday at Nippert Stadium in the regional finals for a trip to the state seminfals, the Delhi Township native says he’ll be wearing a “winning combination of purple and white,” most likely a white shirt and purple tie.
