Al Goodman

Al GoodmanAl Goodman is CNN's award-winning Madrid bureau chief and executive producer for CNN en Español.

He was among the first international correspondents on the scene of the Madrid train bombings in March 2004 and has reported extensively on their aftermath.

Goodman was on-site coordinator for CNN's coverage of the terrorist attacks against British targets in Istanbul in 2003 and he was in Casablanca in 2004 to report on that city nearly a year after the terrorist attacks there.

Alberto Padilla

Alberto PadillaFor 12 years Alberto Padilla has been the financial and business news anchor for CNN en Español, and runs the "Economía y Finanzas" newscast, the only daily TV financial news show in Spanish in Latin America.

Padilla has regularly interviewed the most influential business leaders, such as Bill Gates, Larry Ellison, Donald Trump; and the presidents and CEO’s of many of the Fortune 500 companies such as Hewlett Packard, Cisco Systems among many others, as well as the top business leaders, Presidents and Finance Ministers of virtually all Latin American nations and Spain.

Padilla is a regular guest editorial writer for the most influential publications in Latin America and is an active speaker in the region, traveling throughout the continent and Spain attending invitations from professional groups and conferences, associations, companies and universities.

Ana María Montero

Ana María MonteroAna María Montero is an anchor and correspondent for CNN en Español.

She is the host of the network’s entertainment show, Escenario, and is based in Los Angeles, California.

Since joining CNN en Español in 1997, Montero has covered as covered the Oscar, Grammy and Emmy Awards, as well as the Golden Globes and the recently established Latin Grammy’s. She has also reported on the death of the legendary Frank Sinatra. In addition, Montero has covered the Cannes Film Festival in France, the Sundance Film Festival in the U.S., and the “Rock in Rio for a Better World” music festival in Brazil.

Carlos Montero

Carlos MonteroCarlos Montero is a news anchor for CNN en Español and is the weekday presenter of Al Día, the first look at the day's developing stories. He joined CNN en Español in 1997.

Montero has covered events including the 1997 hostage crisis in Peru, the World Trade Center bombing, the signing of the Israel/Palestine agreement in Washington, D.C., the coup d'etat in Guatemala, the Inter-American Presidential Summit in Miami and the Clinton-Lewinsky affair.

From Atlanta, he has anchored coverage of important events of international interest including the death of Princess Diana, the controversial U.S. presidential election of 2000 and the ongoing crisis in the Middle East. Most recently, he anchored live breaking news coverage of the September 11 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

Carmen Aristegui

Carmen AristeguiCarmen Aristegui is the anchor of Aristegui, CNN en Español's new talk show featuring in-depth conversations with Mexican leaders from an array of fields including politics, government, business, literature and entertainment.

The most recent addition to CNN en Español's award-winning team of journalists, Aristegui has more than 15 years of experience as an anchor, commentator and reporter for some of Mexico's leading radio and television programs.

On the radio side, she has been associated with such top-ranked shows as MVS's "Para Empezar," W Radio's "Hoy por Hoy" and Grupo Imagen's "Imagen Informativa." Aristegui also collaborated with various high-profile television programs, including MVS's "En Blanco y Negro" and "Círculo Rojo" on Televisa. Most recently, she anchored "Noticias Canal 52: Aristegui-Solórzano."

Carolina Escobar

Carolina EscobarCarolina Escobar is the anchor for En Familia, half-hour program of the network that serves as a guide to parents.

Escobar joined CNN en Español in 2000 as part of the interactive team, where she headed the "Comunidad" section which offered practical information to users through discussion boards and other online tools.

In 2002 she became a regular contributor to Adelantos, what was then the network's technology show and became the show's anchor the following year. Escobar has interviewed noted figures from the worlds of science and technology like Mario Molina, recipient of the Nobel Prize of Chemistry in 1996.

Claudia Palacios

Claudia PalaciosClaudia Palacios is a CNN en Español news anchor and presents Mirador Mundial, the network's weekend newscast.

Palacios joined CNN en Español in 2004 from Caracol News in Bogotá, Colombia, where she had worked as an anchor and health editor since 1998.
She began her journalism career at Telepacífico in Colombia, where she reported on the environment for Dagma, a weekly program produced by the University of the Valley UVTV, among other projects. Palacios later joined the CM& newscast where she covered a variety of important events including several official Presidential trips, union marches, student protests and congressional sessions.

In her role as a reporter, she also covered such key stories such as the oil pipeline bombings by Colombian guerillas, the FARC's assassination of the governor of Antioquía and the HIV and SARS epidemics. Palacios has covered various stories of international scope since joining CNN en Español, among them: the United States elections, the tsunami aftermath and the death of John Paul II.

Cynthia Hudson

Cynthia HudsonCynthia Hudson is senior vice president and general manager of CNN en Español and Hispanic strategy for CNN/U.S.

Hudson oversees all aspects, including newsgathering, editorial content, programming, production, operations and personnel, of the CNN en Español 24/7 television network, CNN en Español Radio and CNNMéxico.com.

In addition to an extensive bilingual staff at CNN headquarters in Atlanta, CNN en Español’s operations include a newsgathering and production hub in Mexico City and a fully staffed bureau in Buenos Aires, Spanish-speaking personnel based at the CNN bureaus in Washington, New York, Los Angeles, Miami and Jerusalem, and a worldwide network of nearly 50 Spanish-speaking contributing journalists.

Daniel Viotto

Daniel ViottoDaniel Viotto is a news anchor for CNN en Español.

He anchors Encuentro con Daniel Viotto, an interactive, hour-long news show featuring live reports from CNN en Español's most experienced journalists; Nuestro Mundo, the network's evening newscast that presents the news when in happens, where it happens; and Directo desde EE.UU., Latin America's direct connection to key news events concerning the United States.

Since joining CNN en Español in 1997 for the launch of the network, Viotto has anchored coverage from Atlanta of important international news events including the bombing of Belgrade and Kosovo by NATO; the inauguration ceremony of U.S. President George W. Bush; the liberation of Pinochet in London and his transfer to Chile; and the return of Elian Gonzalez to Cuba.

Diego Bustos

Diego BustosDiego Bustos is a senior sports anchor for CNN en Español and presents Deportes CNN, the network's daily half-hour prime-time sports program and Vive el Golf, the network's program dedicated to golf.

In addition, Bustos travels on assignment to key sporting events around the world.

Since joining CNN en Español in March of 1997, Bustos has covered the '02 FIFA World Cup in Korea and Japan, the '98 FIFA World Cup in France, the Pan-American Games in Winnipeg, Canada, the 2000 FIFA Club World Championship in Brazil, the '99 and 2000 Gold Cups, the Ericsson tennis tournament in Key Biscayne, the '97 and '98 Baseball World Series, the Qualifying World Cup matches for 2002, and the 2001 Superbowl, among other events.
