BNN Fortifies Fall Lineup with New Programs and HostsBusiness News Network (BNN) has fortified its fall lineup with new faces and an enhanced program schedule.

BNN also adds a portfolio of new segments airing Monday to Friday, including The Learning Curve, Money & Marketing, and Fund Tracker.

Among the changes announced today:

- Entrepreneur and investment banking expert Catherine Murray co-hosts THE STREET with Michael Kane weekdays from 7 – 9 a.m. ET.

- Business author and academic Tony Keller becomes Kim Parlee’s new co-host for BUSINESS DAY, weekdays from 2 – 4 p.m. ET

- Randy Cass hosts the new original program MARKET SENSE, a half-hour panel debate program, Monday to Thursday at 5 p.m. ET

- Well-known BNN anchor Michael Hainsworth now hosts a new afternoon edition of THE BUSINESS NEWS, a half-hour round-up of the day’s most important events, weekdays at 5:30 p.m. ET.

- In addition, BNN adds: branding expert John Yorke and investment manager Andrew McCreath, who offer their analysis on the news of the day.

“As in any business, to remain #1 you have to be better year-over-year,” said Jack Fleischmann, General Manager, BNN. “BNN is the market leader and the only reliable source for all-day business news, and we intend to continue our winning streak with these talent and programming additions.”

New program details for fall 2011 below;

THE STREET – Weekdays 7– 9 a.m. ET with Michael Kane and Catherine Murray

Starting the day with headlines from Bay Street, this year BNN’s THE STREET teams-up with Michael Kane with newcomer Catherine Murray, who most recently was the Managing Director and Head of Institutional Equities of North South Capital.  Also, new to THE STREET is a weekly Friday morning segment called Money & Marketing with commentator John Yorke who looks at the importance of brands and marketing in the global markets. Fund Tracker – Wednesdays at 10:40 a.m. ET

Every Wednesday, BNN’s Fund Tracker puts a different mutual fund in the spotlight, tracking performance with the fund manager on his/her success or failures over the past month/quarter. Find out how fund managers pick their stocks and get insight into how to manage a personal portfolio.

BUSINESS DAY – Weekdays 2 – 4 p.m. ET with Kim Parlee and Tony Keller

BNN’s Kim Parlee has a new co-host in Tony Keller, an accomplished academic, author of The New Economics of the NHL: Why Canada Can Support 12 Teams, and former editorial writer and columnist for many of Canada’s top daily papers and business magazines. Also new to BUSINESS DAY is a segment called The Learning Curve that presents tools and education tips to help translate information into investment savvy.

MARKET SENSE – Monday through Thursday 5 – 5:30 p.m. ET with Randy Cass

This new half-hour program features fast-paced debates amongst a panel of active traders and portfolio managers. On the table for discussion … stocks, sectors, strategies and success. MARKET SENSE looks at major moves in the markets and how traders can pilot them. Encore presentations of MARKET SENSE are 9:30 p.m. and 1:30 a.m. Monday through Thursday on BNN.

THE BUSINESS NEWS – Weekdays 5:30 – 6 p.m. ET with Michael Hainsworth

In this new nightly newscast, BNN anchor Michael Hainsworth rounds-up the day’s most important business and financial events after the closing bell. THE BUSINESS NEWS evening edition offers analysis and insight into the impact of the day’s top stories for investors, providing a complete picture heading into next trading day. THE BUSINESS NEWS repeats on BNN at 9 p.m. and 1 a.m. ET.
