The Financial Times has announced that it has agreed a deal with Bloomberg Television, allowing its Lex columnists to appear on the channel. They will appear daily on the business network between 6:30am ET and 7:30am ET to expand on the content of their daily column which focuses on the biggest business and economic stories of the day.
In a reciprocal rich media deal, forming part of the overall package, video segments of the appearances will be available on both FT.com and also Bloomberg.com.
said the John Ridding, FT's chief executive, told the Guardian newspaper; "The FT's goal is to bring the very best news and analysis to the world's financial decision-makers across all platforms. This agreement with Bloomberg Television provides another channel and a quality audience for our premium commentary."
Andy Lack, the head of multimedia at Bloomberg said; "The Lex column is a widely read and highly respected source of financial information for business leaders around the world. Its global viewpoint parallels the reporting done every day at the worldwide bureaus of Bloomberg Television."
