Cris Valerio is a San Francisco-based technology reporter for Bloomberg Television and the host of "Venture," a weekly television program that spotlights the big ideas of small business owners and entrepreneurs from all industries.
Valerio covers start-ups, major technology companies, Silicon Valley, and venture capital firms for Bloomberg Television.
Throughout her career, Valerio has interviewed numerous CEOs and business leaders including Facebook co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Google co-founder Sergey Brin, Microsoft Corporation's CEO Steven Ballmer, Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Ebay CEO John Donahoe, Twitter co-founder Evan Williams, DreamWorks CEO Jeffrey Katzenberg, PayPal founder Max Levchin, Zynga CEO Mark Pincus and Mashable.com's founder Pete Cashmore.
Valerio reports live from technology events around the country, including the 2010 SXSW conference, the Apple Developer Conference, the Consumer Electronics Show, Google I/O, and the E3 Expo.
Prior to hosting "Venture," Valerio reported live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and covered commodities for Bloomberg Television’s former Spanish-language channel in Latin America.
Valerio joined Bloomberg in 2006 after graduating from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Journalism, and working in the local Columbia, MO, television market. She is fluent in Spanish and also speaks French.
