Sara Eisen is a markets reporter for Bloomberg Television and co-host of "Bloomberg on the Economy" on Bloomberg Radio.
Based in New York City, Eisen covers macroeconomic stories with a particular focus on currency and bond markets across multiple media platforms.
Since joining Bloomberg in 2008, Eisen has covered the European sovereign debt crisis and interviewed political leaders and finance ministers from Greece to Germany, including European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso. Eisen also reported from the G20 meeting in Toronto, the IMF meetings in Washington, D.C. and in 2010 she reported exclusively from the Santa Colomba Conference at the Siena, Italy home of Nobel Prize-winning economist Robert Mundell.
Prior to joining Bloomberg Television, Eisen was a reporter for ForexTv.com. She also contributed articles to The Cincinnati Enquirer.
Eisen holds a master’s degree in broadcast journalism with a concentration in business reporting from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
