BusinessWeek Launches New Radio Show

Bloomberg Businessweek announced Friday the launch of a weekly two-hour national radio show.

The program, called “Bloomberg Businessweek Radio,” airs between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Fridays on Bloomberg Radio, and repeats throughout the weekend including Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.

Co-hosted by well-known radio personalities Ken Prewitt and Pimm Fox, the program will feature interviews with writers and editors of stories from the just released magazine.  The program’s debut coincides with the relaunch of Bloomberg Businessweek.

“This program is another indication of the multiple ways that Bloomberg and Businessweek can come together to serve a senior business audience” said Bloomberg Businessweek Chairman Norman Pearlstine in a statement. “Every week Bloomberg Businessweek unearths the most critical topics of importance for the business world.”

Fox, currently the host of “Taking Stock” on Bloomberg Radio and TV’s nightly investing shows, will co-host with Prewitt, who co-anchors the morning radio program “Bloomberg The First Word.”

Fox joined Bloomberg in January 2006 from the Dow Jones News Service in London. Previously, Fox served as West Coast bureau chief and columnist for Computer World and business editor of the San Francisco Chronicle.

Prewitt has been with Bloomberg since September 2005. Prior to Bloomberg, Prewitt worked for the Wall Street Journal, anchoring business reports on WCBS, ABC News, CBS Morning News and Money magazine.
